Built From the Ground Up
Prairie Accent began in 2013 in Blumenort, Manitoba, as a small hands-on operation focused on custom railing projects. Over the years, the company has grown into a full-service fabrication and installation team serving residential and commercial clients throughout Manitoba and surrounding areas.
While the scope of work has expanded, the focus has remained the same: creating custom railing, decking, and glass systems that are designed to fit properly, perform reliably, and last for years to come. Every project is approached with attention to detail, practical design, and quality craftsmanship from start to finish.
Today, Prairie Accent operates from its Blumenort facility with in-house design, fabrication, and installation capabilities. This allows the team to maintain greater control over quality, provide more flexibility for custom projects, and create a smoother experience for clients from the initial consultation through final installation.
Founded by Matt Plett and Kevin Klassen, Prairie Accent is supported by Ashley Forsyth and Travis Klassen as owners, with Julia serving as the primary point of contact for clients. Travis supports the design and planning side of custom projects, helping turn unique ideas into practical, buildable solutions.
