Built From the Ground Up
Prairie Accent began in 2013 in Blumenort, Manitoba, as a small, hands-on operation focused on custom railing work. Since then, it has grown into a full fabrication and installation company serving residential and commercial clients across Manitoba and surrounding areas. The work has expanded over time, but the focus has stayed the same: building railing and waterproofing systems that fit properly, function well, and hold up over time.
Today, Prairie Accent is run by a hands-on crew founded by Matt Plett and Kevin Klassen, with Ashley Forsyth and Travis Bay recently joining as owners. Julia is the primary point of contact for clients, while Travis supports the design side of custom projects to help turn ideas into practical, buildable solutions. The team operates out of the Blumenort facility, with in-house design, fabrication, and installation, which allows for tighter control over quality, greater flexibility for custom work, and a smoother process from concept through to completion.
Meet Our Team
We are a team of hardworking people who come together like family to take on every project with care and pride. Nothing here is done alone, and every detail matters to all of us, from the shop to installation. Our owners work alongside the team and believe strongly in putting our people first, because the strength of Prairie Accent comes from the crew behind it.
Choosing the right team matters. Prairie Accent is built on consistency, communication, and doing the work properly from start to finish.
